First Communion

Today was Lauren's First Communion. I googled a how-to video to learn how to tie a knot. She was a vision.

I don't remember making my first communion. I remember practicing, and thinking that getting to drink wine was cool.

Lauren skipped the wine.

I had lobbied for a floral wreath for her hair. We compromised on the headband-with-a-big-flower. It was totally the best choice. So chic.

What a cool kid.

I hope Lauren remembers her First Communion.
