They Say Its Your Birthday...

Four years ago today, I was missing the wedding of one of my best friends. That morning, Saturday, May 27, I got up early, kissed Lauren good-bye, and caught every green light between here and the hospital. Crossing the Black Warrior, I looked over the bridge to the most gorgeous rising sun. "A great day to have a baby," I thought.

At 6:29 p.m., Tucker Reeves O'Neal was born, gray and silent. It seemed like an eternity before the nursing staff got him to pink and screaming. He has brightened each of our days since. Born at 8 lbs, 6 oz, Tucker quickly earned the title of "Hoss." He was good and healthy. A great sleeper, as well.

Adored by his big sister. She still loves him, but won't admit it as much.

Funny and full of personality from the start. (The outfit he is in at 3 months, above, was worn by Lauren at 15 months)

A loyal and trusty companion. Always willing to help when asked.

I can't believe its been 4 years. Its gone by in a blink! We love you Tucker Bug! Happy Birthday!!!
