The Ides of November

I love that when my kids spend the day with my mom, I can smell her for hours afterward. She smells like the beach (her secret: sunscreen-laced moisturizer). Today I am most thankful that I live in close enough radius to my parents that my mom can come over and keep the kids when it is necessary. I am also thankful that she is willing to do so. Merritt was still out of commission today, but I think that after a good long morning nap in Nanny's lap, she has turned a corner. We will attempt school again tomorrow.
