Snow Day!

The last week has been nasty rain. It seems like it has rained all year long, and I am not exaggerating. Forecasts predicted snow for today, and lo and behold it came to pass.

The aggravating part was that it started snowing mid-morning, so everyone was at work and school. They called school at 1:15, which made for a slushy ride to pick up the kids and get home, fortunately without incident.

The kids have had a ball playing outside. I was outside briefly although my attempts to make a snowman did not pan out. This was, however, the first time I ever saw snow that actually ROLLED into a snowball. It was cool.
